About Me
Putting my voice into words:
STYLE: Warm, trusted, friendly – a family man
PITCH: A rich, warm, distinctive baritone
TONE: Confident, Approachable, Knowledgeable
ACCENT: Neutral British, Classic RP
VOCAL AGE: 35-45 – plus ageless wizards and heroes
Award-winning Voice Actor
I’ve worked with international brands including Emirates, Mercedes-Benz, Skoda, and Google – plus doctors and nurses hear me daily as a voice of e-learning within the NHS. I’m the voice that’s kept you informed on company phone systems, entertained you with TV and radio commercials and explained tricky concepts on videos and films across the world.
When I’m not in my studio just outside London – I really enjoy being out of the booth as the “Voice of God” at live company events and award ceremonies. And I’ve also been a live continuity voice on TV channels such as Challenge and BFBS.
Character Voice Specialist
I’ve been lucky enough to carve out a few niche characters with my voice work too. I’m an award-winning Santa Claus voice (yes, I know I don’t LOOK like the big man but that’s the magic of voice acting!) and you’ll have heard my Father Christmas on the radio, TV, at theme parks and even in some shops! I’m booked regularly for my sports commentator style – mainly football or Formula 1 but other sports are available – and every year I record a range of scary and horror voices for phone systems, shopping centres, commercials and theme parks in the run up to Halloween. And if you need a vintage newsreader – like the old-style Pathé and Movietone newsreels – I’m that guy too: taking you back in time for museum exhibits, documentaries, TV promos and even modern corporate videos! I also specialise in android and robot voices – most recently for the Mercedes-Benz Trucks VR tour!
Television Presenter
Podcaster and Producer
I produce and co-host two very successful weekly podcasts. The award-nominated audio podcast for voiceovers and directors – “How Do You Say That?!” – which has been running since 2022 with my voiceover colleague Samantha Boffin, and the YouTube video podcast “Grumpy Old Gays” with my friend Mark Hedger. During the pandemic, I also produced and presented a successful business podcast called “Surviving Lockdown”.
With the huge rise of podcasting across the world – I’m also asked to present podcasts for established brands and companies, plus teach others the secrets of creating a successful podcast for themselves, as well as voicing intros and promos for podcasts, such as “Titanic Talks”.
