Client Brief – Essilor are an optical company who needed an upbeat read for their internal trade partnerships video to send to their business partners. They wanted something that was enthusiastic but not too “salesy” to provide a more informative vibe in their already produced doodle animation video.

What I did – The production company sent videos for me to match the corporate voiceover to and keep to the strict script timings. I recorded several versions from my studio for them to choose from ensuring to avoid that “salesy” sound that they wanted to avoid. I returned the audio for them to approve within a few days and they were happy for me to send over the finished files after the first round of proofing.

Client Brief – My client hired me after they were impressed by an initial test sample which they requested via my website. They sent over the script that day and asked if I could keep the delivery style of the corporate voiceover to a dynamic and fast-paced announcer style.

What I did – Having straightaway captured the “chart-rundown” style of announcer that they had initially requested, I quickly completed the corporate voice recording. I recorded two takes and sent them straight to the client.

Client Brief – A boutique design studio based in San Francisco contacted me to voice a series of animated videos for Google business explainers. They wanted a trusted British commercial voice aimed at a UK audience.

What I did – The producer sent me storyboard images of the videos along with the script, and we discussed via email the style that she wanted. I self-directed the recordings and sent them on to her via Dropbox Transfer. A few lines needed changing a few weeks later, so I recorded the revisions and made sure they cut into the original using the same tone, pace and inflection – with zero production work required on their end to make everything fit together.

Client Brief – SMI are eye-tracking specialists who needed a voice for their B2B corporate video explaining new technology for virtual reality. I had already previously worked with the company’s Head of Marketing during my tenure at Thomas Cook TV, where I’d been the voice of the channel. They wanted a nice and easy, simple explanatory tone for a “first look” video. The aim of the video was to inspire, and a gripping commercial voice actor was all they needed to bring it all to life!

What I did – I saw a rough cut of the video before remotely recording and sending two different style takes to the producer. It’s a great example of how an ongoing relationship with a client can help you quickly capture their vision for any future voiceover work.
